Pennies Pictures, LLC is an independent film production company based in Washington, D.C. We tell stories of those counted out by society in short narrative films, filled with subtlety and subtext.
We just wrapped our second short film, Excuse Me, which is now entering the film festival circuit. Our first short film, Pennies, is currently in the film festival circuit.

Pennies Pictures' first film, "Pennies," wrapped post-production in December 2023 and is currently in the film festival circuit. Streitwieser recently won Best Female Director at the Central Coast International Film Festival for her work.
Written by Executive Producer Mary Beth Warner, the story follows a traumatized man who has to find the strength within himself to overcome adversity.
With a run time of approximately 20 minutes, it is Lena Streitwieser's longest and most ambitious film to date, having directed the film at 18 years old.

Excuse Me is Pennies Pictures' second film, directed by Lena Streitwieser. It is currently in the film festival circuit.
Also written by Executive Producer Mary Beth Warner, Excuse Me follows a middle-aged woman named Amanda as she leaves a coffee shop without the last chocolate croissant, but maybe something even sweeter.
Excuse Me was awarded the Washington, D.C. Women in Film and Video (WiFV) Short Narrative Film Finishing Grant for post-production.
