Lena Streitwieser is a film student in the Dual BA program with Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University. She directs for Pennies Pictures, an independent film company based in Washington, D.C. She enjoys exploring coming-of-age themes and how life experience informs perspective in her films. With her eighth short film now entering the festival circuit, she is excited to continue her passion for storytelling through film and share her lens of life with the world.
In addition to directing, Lena enjoys film scoring, composing music, and writing screenplays. She has scored all of her short films and has also written the majority of them. She also acts, both in her own short films and others.
